In April 2024, I started The Mouth Rehab in my car, driving from home to home with a trunk full of therapy materials and a whole lot of faith. By October 2024, I got off the road and into a tiny office inside a shared business suite… still unsure of where this would go, but trusting the process and taking my time to scale.

And now?
God is good and SO faithful. 🙏🩵
In what feels like the blink of an eye, we’ve grown into a team of three clinicians specializing in:

For many children, mealtime can sometimes bring stress, sensory overload, or pressure to “just take one bite.”

✨ Thanksgiving is about connection, not consumption.

So if Auntie says,

You can gently respond with something like:
🗣️ “We’re letting them explore at their own pace!”

Not all speech challenges are the same!

✨ Speech Sound Disorder is the umbrella term for any difficulty making sounds clearly.

But under that umbrella are three distinct types:

🧠 Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS): the brain struggles to plan and sequence the movements for speech.
👅 Articulation Disorder: the mouth has trouble producing specific sounds.
🧩 Phonological Disorder: the sound system in the brain uses the wrong rules or patterns.

What about Myo?
👄 Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs): the tongue, lips, and jaw don’t rest or move correctly, often affecting sounds like T, D, N, L, S, Z, SH, CH, J, and R.
